Florida

If there is one place that I could be happy living in the US other than California, it would have to be southern Florida. Perfect weather everyday, beautiful beaches with white sand and clear blue waters, great night life and lots to do. I have been living here in Fort Lauderdale for about a month and 1/2 and have really enjoyed every minute of it. With Miami a hop, skip and a jump away and Key West not much further... the opportunities for fun are endless.

NOLA

New Orleans has so much history, culture, and spirit. It was filled with amazing heart and soul that was shown through the music, the food, and the pride of those who live there. It was amazing experience and I look forward to returning someday. Some memories of my experience include Frenchman's street where the music was just like the old days, real live jazz with soul. Sidewalk street players doing what they love most; nothing beats the sound of the sax, trumpet, and bass. Bourbon street was full of life where the party never stops and the more beads are always flowing. Backstreet Cultural Museum is in the Treme and has the most beautifully hand sown beaded costumes that take a year to make just one. I learned so much about where Mardi Gras originally started and the ways peoples life are celebrated once they have passed. It was fascinating! The graveyards have tombs that are massive in size and are eerily beautiful. We ventured outside the city and did a swamp tour checking out the wetland wildlife and watching alligators swim. It was an amazing week to say the least.

Words cannot describe how much I love my California and all those who are in it.
